Minutes of PASGC Open meeting – July 12, 2011
A last minute change of location from Madeira Public Library to Madeira City Hall meant the scheduled 7:30PM meeting time was delayed until 8:00PM. Those attending were: Maria Zernik-Kobak, Rose Marie (Turek) Buettner, Helena Kulik, Jeff Turner, Jacek Biesiada, Antonina Sleboda, Ted Hardman, Malgorzata Klukowska, Agnieszka Gutowska, Victoria Mandybur, Maria Torgesen, Andrzej Biernat, Chris Mystkowski, Peter Kasprzycki, Ted Day, Don Szarmach, Jean Ann Obrebski, Pawel Krawczyk & Krystyna Krawczyk.
The meeting began with favorable comments on the Mardi Gras and Swieconka celebrations. In particular, the egg contest and gifts for children were mentioned as a favorable addition to the Swieconka festivities.
Next, the 2011 election was discussed at the attendees’ request, with general comments, questions, timing and procedures. Requests were that the next election follow the PASGC Constitution and that the election should not be a part of celebration of Swieconka, It should be a completely separate meeting open to all members. As a result an Election Committee was formed. Members are: Agnieszka Gutowska, Maria Kobak and Helena Kulik.
The attendees all agreed that the PASGC Constitution need to be revised.
The definition of membership was the next topic for discussion. Areas of concern were membership starting date and the membership verification form. The Promotion & Membership Committee was formed. Members are: Jeff Turner, Malgosia Klukowska, Jacek Biesiada and Krystyna Krawczyk.
Other areas were discussed:
i. Quarterly publication of newsletters
ii. Distribution to PASGC contacts as well as non-members.
iii. Fund raising need for PAGCS
iv. Other Committees to work on different issues are needed.
Don Szarmach presented the financial report which is outlined below.

Peter Kasprzycki announced that Jan Ignacy Paderewski exhibit starts from September 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011 in Madeira Library.
Dates to remember:
· PASGC Picnic is scheduled for September 23, 2011 at Swain Park, Montgomery, OH.
· Next Board Meetings are scheduled for August 9, 2011 and November 8, 2011
· Next Open Meeting to all members and non-members is tentatively scheduled for October 2011; date, time and location will be announced later.
· Christmas Party is scheduled for December 10, 2011 at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave, Norwood, OH 45212.
FYI, four additional surveys were collected during the Open Meeting and they are added to the attached summary (summary of 31 surveys).
