3.  SUMMARY OF PAST EVENTS
Since the last open meeting on March 1 PASGC sponsored Piano concert which was performed by Prof. Ewa Poblocka in celebration of the Chopin Year Celebration and Constitution Day Celebration.

Ĝ       The event was very well attended and a great cultural experience. The participants enjoyed the fantastic performance of Ewa Poblocka and had an opportunity to meet a lot of Polish people; some of them came from Lexington. The effort and engagement of organizers in offering this kind of event to the Polish community was greatly appreciated by the audience.

Ĝ       The Constitution Day Celebration was held on Saturday May 1st at Swaim Park near Blue Ash.  The event was enjoyable with lots of good food donated by the organizers and participants and with music provided by Andrew Biernat.

The Polish community and members of PASGC got together on April 17 in the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains to honor the late Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife and other dignitaries who were victims of the fatal crash. This sad occasion brought together much of the local Polish community and the event was tirelessly led by Maria Zernik-Kobak.
The authorities of the Cathedral expressed an interest in holding a yearly mass in the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains for the Polish community.

4.  UPCOMING EVENTS

A Volleyball game will take place on August 21st at Swaim Park (Cooper Rd. and Zig Zag Rd., Montgomery). Everybody is invited to play or cheer. This event will be organized by Andrew Biernat and will be a great opportunity to prepare for the game with the Columbus team in September during the picnic (the annual picnic will be held on Saturday - September 11 at Dulle Park, Terwilligers Lodge, Deerfield Rd. North of Pfeiffer Rd).

Christmas Party is planned for December 11. The discussion concentrated around a way to attract more people to attend. We decided that we first need to identify a place where we will hold the event at low cost.  Depending on the place we will propose the format of the party. Maria Szajda-Lam will look for the availability of club houses in the developments where members of the Polish community live. The rest of the Officers and Board members will try to identify halls in churches which could be used for the event.
